US Engineering Event

The Essentials for Building

US Engineering and High Five University teamed up to create an event which would help expose mentees to the trades. Having the opportunity to tour construction sites and other areas where industry professionals gave lessons on their day to day duties and expectations. At this event mentees were able to meet with plumbers, pipefitters, sheet metal workers, carpenters, electricians, finishers, iron workers, painters, floor-layers and operators. Jackstack BBQ was happy to provide the food while Edward Workwear supplied boots for all the mentees who signed up for the event.

During the glass-blowing demonstration, skilled artisans transformed molten glass into intricate shapes using heat, precision, and expert techniques. Meanwhile, the pottery demonstration highlighted the beauty of working with clay, as artists shaped and molded pieces on the wheel with remarkable skill.

    Debbie D’s Back to school drive focuses on collecting back packs and school supplies for childern from low income families. The event Feature a car show and many venders.

    High Aspirations teams up with Harvesters to help people in need. Mentees are taught about how important it is to give back to the community and help those less fortunate than them.

    Students embarked on an insightful college tour of the University of Saint Mary, gaining a firsthand look at campus life and academic opportunities.

Negro League Baseball Museum

A walk through black influence on Baseball

The Negro league baseball museum is the only museum in the world that focuses on the impact of African American on baseball. Visitors at the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum were taken on a powerful journey through history, exploring the rich legacy of Black baseball and its impact on American sports and society. The tour provided an in-depth look at the struggles, triumphs, and contributions of legendary players who paved the way for future generations.

Juneteenth Celebration

The annual Juneteenth event is a celebration put together by High Aspirations staff. It is an event filled with food, music, vendors and fun. Each vendor has a table and offers both insight into their company, organization or institute. This is a chance for both mentees and families to connect with some of the organizations who help make events happen year around. Union Station

Disney 100 Exhibition

We would like to thank one of our proud supporters Union Station. High Aspirations visited the Disney 100 Exhibition last January. which was displayed at Union Station.
A day filled with Disney magic mentees had a chance to see over +250 Disney archives ranging from animated movies to live action films. Mentees explored the various costumes, artwork and more on display. These are events that create memories for our young men and as an organization we are truly thankful.
